P., Jorge, A., &amp;&nbsp;<strong>Kubrusly, A.<\/strong>&nbsp;\u201cHow Can You Be a Feminist if You\u2019re Always Online?\u201d Online Activisms, Ambivalence, and Dis\/Connection.&nbsp;<em>Television &amp; New Media, 26<\/em>(4), 399-420.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1177\/15274764241281693\">https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1177\/15274764241281693<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Current research projects<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>2026 <strong>Futures Of AI-Impacted Teaching and Learning: Perceptions from Students<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Research team: Dr. Annette Markham, Dr. Lachlan Robb, Dr. Taina Bucher, and Dr. Riccardo Pronzato<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cFutures Of AI-Impacted Teaching and Learning: Perceptions and Imaginaries from Students: A Pilot Project\u201d is a multi-university study of how higher education students think, feel, and make sense of their generation\u2019s use of Generative AI (GenAI) in higher education, and how they perceive the impact of these technologies on the changing future of higher education amidst rapid and often radical institutional responses. The study seeks to collect in-depth qualitative accounts of students\u2019 lived experiences and perspectives, in the form of audio, text, or video narratives gathered through a DIY auto-ethnography.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2025-2029<strong>\u00a0Understanding Our Digital Futures: KidTech, AdTech and Branded Content in\u00a0the DigiVerse<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PI: Dr. Natalie Coulter (York University)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This project investigates the complex ecosystems of these immersive platforms as they are radically shifting the landscape of media and entertainment and capitalizing a new digital future of large-scale digitization of entertainment, education, commerce and services all within one corporate platform: Roblox.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2025<strong> &nbsp;Kids, KidTech and the Metaverse: Global childhoods in digital capitalism project&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PIs: Dr. Natalie Coulter (York University) and Dr. Rebekah Willett (University of Wisconsin\u2013Madison)&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Questioning KidTech explores the shift where much of children\u2019s daily lives have moved into online spaces; and in this shifting reality, we ask what it means to be a child in these spaces.
